For this assignment, you are to write a minimum of four pages discussing the benefits of conducting lessons learned and applying the learning outcomes to future project management plans. To do well on this paper, you need to:
Provide an overview of how, and when to conduct lessons learned.
Examine the benefits of conducting lessons learned.
Provide examples of how to effectively prepare or apply the lessons learned to future project management plans.
Provide information on the different roles stakeholders play in the lessons learned process.
Identify three stakeholder groups and discuss how you would implement lessons learned sessions for each group for the TAPF project. Then explain how you will use the outcomes from the sessions in future TAPF projects.
The paper should follow the following format:

Body (4-5 pages)
Reference Page (All citations and references must follow APA 6th edition)
APA formatting, double spaced, times new roman, 12-point font

The Akshaya Patra Foundation – Case Study Update #1

You have just secured the Deputy Project Manager position within the Projects and Infrastructure division at The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF) in Vasanthapura Karnataka. The unit president of Karnataka, Chanchalapathi Dasa, has approved a Project Charter to deploy one of TAPF’s new Hub & Spoke model kitchen in Charta, Jharkhand. This new Hub & Spoke model kitchen combines elements of the centralized and decentralized kitchen models that are already deployed across 27 locations in India.[footnoteRef:1] The Hub & Spoke kitchen is ideal for rural areas like Chatra, allowing TAPF to penetrate previously unreachable areas. Since the Hub & Spoke model is a new concept, you have been assigned a project team consisting of TAPF’s “A-Players” from various districts in Karnataka. Your knowledge of Project Management, along with the skillsets and experience of the team members will provide the best opportunity for successful execution of the new Hub & Spoke kitchen in Chatra. · P. Venkatesh is currently a driver along the Devgiri road, one of the toughest roads in Ballari. He delivers food to 18 schools each day and is passionate about feeding children. He has vast knowledge of the transportation industry and experience driving through rough terrain.
· Ratna J. Suvarna is a kitchen supervisor in the Mangaluru district. She has worked over ten years in the kitchen and enjoys doing all the tasks. Her current role as supervisor is overseeing food prep. She is excited each day walking to work because she gets to greet children and tell them about the day’s menu.
· Gurusiddappa Kammar is a housekeeping supervisor in Hubballi. His primary responsibility is sanitation and ensuring the food safety policies are followed. He passionately keeps up to date on policies and is excited about finding ways to perform tasks more efficiently.
· Meena Devi works in one of Vrindavan’s kitchens in food vessel prep. She begins the day by cleaning the vessels to load with food and ends the day cleaning the empty vessels once they are returned from the school. Her background, and the reality that she is part of something big, makes her extremely proud and happy to be with TAPF.
· Jai Pinto is a Physical Education teacher in Bengaluru. He has over 34 years of experience and comes from a family of teachers. His experience with various school systems has proven to be a win-win for TAPF. Not only can Jai see the need to feed children first hand, but Jai has developed many connections throughout his career.

In addition to the assigned project team, you will have the experience and knowledge of Vinay N Kumar, General Manager of Operations at your TAPF location in Vasanthapura. Vinay’s organizational structure is shown in Exhibit 3 in the case study.

Now that you have your team, you know the first step is to hold a formal kick-off meeting to continue team development and to begin planning the project. In preparation for the meeting, you begin reviewing facts about Chatra and the Hub & Spoke model kitchen that your team will be responsible for deploying. Below are key facts that you found during your initial search:

· Larger kitchens will provide 30,000 meals and smaller kitchens will provide 10,000 meals
· Spokes will be within 50-60 km from the central kitchen hub

· Spokes will be set up near communities and provide the final cooking allowing the meals to be delivered fresh
· Spare meals will feed senior citizens, lactating mothers, and migrate workers

With this high-level overview of both Chatra and the Hub & Spoke model kitchen, you and your team are ready to begin preparing the project documentation necessary for the Project Management Plan. The first task in your meeting is to identify all the potential stakeholders for the project. You remember from your studies, that it is important to identify all the stakeholders as early as possible to mitigate unnecessary risks and possible delays. Your team will be communicating with a State and District that TAPF has not previously spoken to, so consideration should be made for the various agencies that may need to be contacted. In addition to any of Chatra’s agencies, you remember seeing that Chatra population is primarily rural, so there may be several village leaders that will need to be contacted. These two stakeholder groups are only scratching the surface, you will need to identify and analyze with your team all the stakeholders that may directly or indirectly be affected by the Hub & Spoke Project.

A stable and efficient public health workforce for nurses is a critical aspect in the provision of quality care, especially in situations where the workforce is dealing with a pandemic situation. The nursing workforce is a crucial part of the care in such cases as they are equipped, through their nursing training, with sufficient knowledge and skills to be able to provide education to patients on how to stay safe and avoid contacting the COVID-19 virus by isolating themselves as well as staying in quarantine (Edmonds et al., 2020). This entails teaching them the basics like keeping a social distance in their association with other people, maintaining proper hand and general sanitization and other essential skills that will be able to help the patients avoid acquiring and spreading the virus for those that already have it. The training of nurses and the standards of care in their practice facilitates their reliable response to emergencies during the outbreak of diseases that are infectious, providing care in a way that is effective, safe and non-discriminatory to everyone in the communities in which they provide their services. Despite the vulnerability of their practices that expose them to the risk of acquiring diseases that are infectious and chronic diseases, nurses are bound by their oath of service and are thus under a legal and moral obligation to ensure that they provide care to their patients without discrimination despite the condition the patient may be suffering from. They have a moral duty to the patient to provide the best care they can. The failure to follow the care standards when providing care can amount to an action in tort for negligence against the nurse practitioner (Austin, 2017). The relevance of this article to the readings on Health Care Law is that a nurse has to adhere to the regulations of practice and to provide patient care to enhance positive outcomes.

Question 2

The role of a nurse as an educator still comes down to the moral obligations and adherence to the care standards in providing quality care to the patients. The nurse is obligated to consider what is in the best interest of the patient. In situations like those that require vaccination, the nurse will require the consent and free will of the patient to be obtained before initiating the vaccine. Before vaccinating a patient, it is essential that they read and sign the forms of consent to provide evidence of the agreement between the patient and the nursing practitioner, which proves that he consented to the vaccination exercise. The legal standards of practices also protect the patient’s right to refuse treatment (Austin, 2017). In a situation where the patient is resisting the vaccine, it is the duty of the nurse to talk to the patient and educate them on aspects like the purpose that the vaccine intends to serve in their body, the importance of the vaccine in boosting their immune system and helping their body better fight infectious disease-causing mechanisms and how being vaccinated minimizes their risk of acquiring diseases that are infectious. In equipping the patient with knowledge on these aspects, the provider of healthcare also has to listen to the reasons that the patient presents for refusing the vaccine and try to understand their viewpoint (Perkins, 2018). The nurse can engage in a conversation with the patient and help them make the most appropriate decision for their well-being. With immunization refusals on the rise, healthcare professionals need to establish ways of improving the provision of patient education on vaccination in terms of explaining how immunizations function in the body, the different types, the misconceptions, the safety and contraindications among other related aspects. The relevance of this article to the Health Care Law is based on the legal provisions requiring informed consent to be obtained from the patient and signed in an agreement before they are given the vaccine.
